At Field Medical, we are looking for a hands-on Software Development Engineer with experience developing Class III medical devices. You will work directly with multidisciplinary teams to design, develop, test, and validate software for our medical device platform. Collaborate with hardware engineering, regulatory affairs, and clinical teams to deliver integrated solutions, demonstrating strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline \n

5+ years of professional software development experience \n

Demonstrated experience developing Class III medical devices in heavily regulated environments \n

Comprehensive understanding of FDA regulatory requirements and ISO 13485 standards \n

Advanced proficiency in C++ and Qt framework \n

Strong experience with Linux operating systems \n

Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and testing \n

Experience with test management systems, particularly Helix \n

Willingness to participate in animal studies for preclinical device validation \n

Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional, collaborative team environments \n

Demonstrated adaptability in dynamic, resource-constrained settings \n

Support design verification and validation activities throughout the development process, adapting to evolving requirements and priorities as the product matures \n

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Provide technical support to our clinical trials and animal studies to ensure optimal device performance. \n
