Job description

Job Summary: We are supporting a search for a Data Scientist to join a collaborative team focused on modernizing merchandise financial systems and pricing and clearance management capabilities. This Data Scientist opportunity is designed for someone who can turn complex data into practical insights, develop analytical solutions, and support business decisions across product, engineering, and merchandising., * Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and statistical algorithms to solve complex business and IT problems.

  • Analyze large structured and unstructured datasets to uncover meaningful insights and support data-informed decisions.
  • Build, maintain, and run automated and ad-hoc reports, data pipelines, and workflows that support operations, reporting, and model deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners, communicate technical findings clearly, and provide guidance on technical approaches and best practices.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of professional experience in a data analytics or related role.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, Unix Shell Scripting, and stored procedures.
  • Experience with one or more machine learning frameworks and data analysis/visualization libraries in Python, such as Pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, Matplotlib, or Plotly.
  • ETL tool experience with Talend, DataStage, or MoveIT Automation preferred; EDW/DB experience with Snowflake or Oracle databases preferred.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Preferred qualifications include a degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics, as well as experience with time series modeling, product recommendation systems, experiment design, A/B testing, Tableau, and Power BI.
