Job description

Senior Software Developer - Svelte and SvelteKit and igital experiences using Sanity CMS and headless architecture principles., We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer to join the Web Engineering team supporting the Hopper Program, a strategic initiative focused on modernizing a digital customer experience platform. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy scalable, high-performing web applications using modern front-end technologies, headless CMS solutions, and cloud-native development practices. You will collaborate closely with architects, product owners, UX teams, and platform engineers to deliver enterprise-scale, customer-facing digital experiences., * Design and develop responsive, scalable, and high-performing web applications using Svelte and SvelteKit.

  • Build and maintain content-driven digital experiences using Sanity CMS and headless architecture principles.
  • Collaborate with Product, UX, Architecture, Platform, and DevOps teams to deliver customer-facing features and enhancements.
  • Develop reusable UI components, front-end frameworks, and design system integrations that support consistency and scalability.
  • Integrate applications with internal and external APIs, microservices, authentication platforms, and customer data services.
  • Champion code quality through peer reviews, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and engineering best practices.
  • Optimize applications for performance, accessibility, SEO, security, responsiveness, and scalability.
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, design reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering standards, technical decisions, and continuous improvement.
  • Support production deployments, troubleshooting, issue resolution, and ongoing platform enhancements.
  • Partner with platform and DevOps teams to enable reliable delivery through automated deployment pipelines.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of software development experience.
  • 3+ years of modern JavaScript application development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Svelte and SvelteKit
  • TypeScript
  • HTML5, CSS3, and SCSS
  • REST APIs and GraphQL
  • Git and modern source control practices
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • Sanity CMS
  • Headless CMS architectures
  • Component-based UI development
  • Responsive web design
  • Client-side performance optimization
  • Experience building applications deployed in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Strong knowledge of web accessibility standards, including WCAG, and SEO best practices.
  • Test-driven and quality-focused development mindset.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Jest, or Vitest.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery teams.
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting large-scale consumer digital platforms.
  • Telecommunications or eCommerce industry experience.
  • Experience migrating from traditional CMS platforms to headless architectures.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager, AEM, migration strategies.
  • Experience with design systems and reusable component libraries.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor.
  • Cloud-native application architecture experience.
