IT Technician - Onsite Support and Network

Jamtek Electrical, LLC runs Managed IT Services, Monitoring and VoIP support for commercial Clients throughout Middle Georgia. The IT Technician works the desk and the field, resolves Client tickets on site and remotely, and reports to the Macon shop at 2632 Roff Ave.

Duties

• Take, triage and resolve Client tickets, and close each ticket with the resolution documented.

• Support Windows and macOS workstations, printers, mobile devices and peripherals.

• Administer Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace accounts, mailboxes, licenses and permissions.

• Install, configure and support switches, routers, firewalls, access points and point-to-point links.

• Configure VLANs, static addressing and port assignments for camera, access control and VoIP devices.

• Support VoIP phone systems, handsets and call routing.

• Perform backup verification, patching, antivirus checks and account provisioning on a schedule.

• Travel to Client sites within Middle Georgia for on-site work.

Hands-on experience supporting end users and network equipment.

• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and VLANs.

• Ability to terminate and test a data drop.

• Valid driver license and a clean motor vehicle record.

• Availability for full-time on-site work in Macon, Georgia.

Preferred

• CompTIA A+, Network+ or Security+.

• CCNA.

• Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace administration experience.

• Experience in a managed service provider environment.

• Experience with IP cameras, access control or alarm systems on a network.

Pay

Pay is set by demonstrated skill. End-user support and basic networking place a Candidate at the entry of the range. Certification, firewall and VLAN configuration and managed service experience place a Candidate at the top.
