Job description

Our team is looking for a Junior Kubernetes Platform Developer. In this role you will working as to build APIs and Controllers for existing Kubernetes clusters. The team You will join a diverse team of young and experienced engineers who manage existing kubernetes clusters that offer stateful solutions to ING’s internal platforms. Several teams in ING who offer their solutions as services (e.g. ELK, Observability) use our stateful clusters. The team is looking for a new colleague who will build new features as APIs and custom Controllers. Thus, as mandatory requirement, we expect you to have good knowledge of Kubernetes concepts and different system components. We use Golang as de-facto language to build our APIs and Controllers. Having knowledge of it is an advantage. The team follows DevOps way of working and is managing existing platforms based on OpenShift and Portworx. In this role you will be working closely with this team and building newer stateful K8s solutions (such as Minio on K8s) and application platforms (such as BPM Platform runtimes). Roles and responsibilities As Junior Platform Developer you will be responsible for

  • Learning how ING Cloud Storage solutions (Object based) operate with our Infra Ecosystem and dependencies.
  • Learning how features are created using APIs.
  • As DevOps engineer, working on Product backlog and refining features for current and new platforms.
  • Testing and Automating the platform APIs.
  • Building integrations of various Infra systems to help end-to-end Customer journeys.
  • Document the features and processes and present them in Cloud Roadshows.
