Job description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join the SystmOne Configuration team as a Digital Configuration Analyst. The role is a fixed term contract for up to 12 months and will be offered at Band 6., The post holder will support users of the Trust’s key electronic patient record systems, undertake critical system management tasks, and carry out ongoing configuration to ensure systems continue to meet the needs of the Trust. They will work closely with the wider team to deliver an effective and high-quality service

The post holder will use a service desk system (currently Fresh), to resolve IT incidents, to provide ongoing support and advice, to resolve data quality issues, and to identify and make configuration changes to SystmOne. The post holder will also have the opportunity to work on, and support wider SystmOne improvement projects where required.

They will be an effective communicator and be required to work closely with project staff, clinical staff and other members of the team to define configuration requirements, manage SystmOne units, assist with testing, and improve the user interface using user centred design principles., Please see attached job description and person specification for further details regarding this role.

Requirements

The ideal candidates will have relevant experience building new configuration within SystmOne, supporting staff to use the system and troubleshooting and fixing issues. They will also have a strong level of empathy and excellent communication skills when supporting end users., * Educated to Degree level or equivalent qualification or equivalent professional experience.

  • ICDL or equivalent
  • MS Office
  • SystmOne Core TTT or equivalent professional experience
  • Specialist IT Qualifications (e.g. ITIL foundation or practitioner, ISEB/ISTQB Testing Certifications), Microsoft Office specialist, Microsoft Office Master) or equivalent., * Experience in configuring SystmOne.
  • Experience of working in a customer service, help desk, call handling environment
  • Experience of managing conflicting priorities, * Formal role in monitoring data quality including detection of potential problems, investigation, resolution and liaison with others to resolve.
  • Experience in investigating bugs and testing fixes.
  • Relevant experience in process and system analysis, interpretation, and development of a range of solutions based on this analysis.
  • Relevant experience in researching and development into clinical systems user experience and user interfaces
  • Relevant experience working in a healthcare setting; understanding the context of local change in relation to National change, * Ability to work both independently and interdependently as an effective team member.
  • Excellent time-management skills with a proactive and flexible approach.
  • Able to problem solve, anticipate future requirements and be proactive in responding to these.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills; maintaining methodical and accurate record keeping and systems
  • Proficient in MS Windows, Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Visio & Internet Explorer with advanced keyboard skills.
  • Ability to clearly define the test scripts and linking them to the requirements
  • Ability to clearly define the issues/defect raised along with evidence to support for issue resolutions
  • Good understanding of the Data Protection Act.
  • Able to communicate technical issues to a nontechnical audience.
  • Ability to handling sensitive situations with a high level of discretion, tact and diplomacy, * Knowledge of recognised business change processes
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and working in a Project/Programme Environment
  • Understanding of user issues and how they impact on use of supported systems.
  • Use of service desk system to manage support calls., * Ability to travel to any SCFT sites for project support
  • Demonstrate commitment to undertake further training and development as agreed with Line Manager, * To work outside normal office hours on occasion to meet the needs of the service.
