Job description

  • Develop, test, and investigate new modem features to optimize TX and RX RFFE chains
  • Evaluate system-level performance across modem software and RF front-end devices (PA, PA Module with integrated Duplexers (PAMiD), DRX modules, antenna interface)
  • Design and execute lab experiments, including setup, measurement, and analysis
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (RF design, modem software, system engineering, product marketing)
  • Provide clear and structured technical reporting and communicate findings effectively

Do you have experience in Software development?, Do you have a Master’s degree?, We are looking for a RF front-end (RFFE) System Feature Engineer to contribute to the development, testing, and optimization of advanced modem features across the full RF signal chain. The role focuses on improving performance of both transmit (TX) and receive (RX) paths, spanning modem software, transceiver architecture, and RFFE components up to the antenna. The position requires a hands-on engineer with strong analytical skills and a passion for experimental validation in lab environments., * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience., Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

  • 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc., * Experience with software development and scripting
  • RF simulations
  • Python and/or Matlab
  • RF lab equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators, etc.)
  • Signal processing, * System-level understanding of the full RF path (modem to antenna)
  • TX and RX signal chain architecture
  • PA/LNA behavior and performance metrics
  • Understanding of WWAN protocols (3GPP, 4G, 5G, 6G, WiFi)
  • Up to date on recent AI, NN, LLM, and Agentic System developments, * Familiarity with Qualcomm platforms and workflows, * Target level: Senior or Staff Engineer
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
  • Initiating and ideating new modem feature development
  • Strong experimental mindset with focus on lab-based validation
  • Clear and efficient reporting abilities, * PAMiD and DRX optimization
  • Digital Pre-Distortion (DPD)
  • Antenna tuner algorithms and control strategies
