Lead Azure Developer

We are looking for a Lead Azure Developer to join our engineering team and take ownership of designing, developing, and delivering scalable, secure, cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure.

This is a hands-on software engineering leadership role for someone with deep Azure development experience who can solve complex technical challenges, drive architecture and development decisions, and mentor other engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-grade applications and services on Azure.
• Develop scalable backend services, APIs, microservices, and cloud-native solutions.
• Design and implement solutions using Azure compute, storage, database, messaging, integration, and monitoring services.
• Translate business and technical requirements into robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
• Provide technical leadership throughout the complete SDLC, from design and development through deployment and production support.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to software engineering, security, performance, and coding standards.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Product Managers, DevOps, QA, Data Engineering, and other cross-functional teams.
• Troubleshoot complex application and production issues and drive root-cause resolution.
• Support CI/CD automation and cloud deployment processes.
• Mentor and guide developers, helping establish strong engineering practices and technical standards.
• Evaluate new Azure capabilities and recommend technologies that improve scalability, reliability, and engineering efficiency.

Strong hands-on experience with several of the following:

• Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• Azure API Management
• Azure Service Bus
• Azure Event Grid / Event Hubs
• Azure Storage
• Azure SQL / Cosmos DB
• Azure Key Vault
• Azure Monitor / Application Insights
• Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD
• Azure DevOps and CI/CD
• Docker and Kubernetes
• Terraform / Bicep or other Infrastructure-as-Code technologies

• 7-10+ years of professional software development experience
• Significant hands-on experience developing solutions using Microsoft Azure
• Proven experience building and supporting production-grade cloud applications
• Strong backend development and software engineering fundamentals
• Experience leading technical initiatives and making architecture/design decisions
• Ability to mentor developers and provide technical direction
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred
