Job description
We are seeking a talented HMI Developer to join our client’s project in Maastricht. As an HMI Developer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing intuitive Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) for our client’s systems.
Your primary focus will be on creating user-friendly interfaces that enhance the overall user experience and improve system efficiency. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand user requirements and translate them into visually appealing and functional HMIs., * Design and develop HMIs for various systems and applications
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback
- Ensure HMI designs are user-friendly, intuitive, and visually appealing
- Conduct usability testing to identify and address any user experience issues
- Optimize HMIs for performance and responsiveness
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in HMI development
Requirements
Do you have experience in Usability?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Proven experience as an HMI Developer or similar role
- Proficiency in HMI design tools and software
- Strong understanding of user interface design principles
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment

A bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology, with a focus on Software Engineering (In the absence of a diploma, a minimum of five (5) years of professional experience)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience developing large scale (>100 kSLOC) operational HMI software, preferably in a Unix environment
- Minimum 3 years’ experience using modern C++, including C++11, C++17, C++20 and template-programming
- Minimum 1 year of experience in developing and maintaining software and documentation in accordance with recognized industrial quality and safety standards (SWAL 3 or equivalent)
- Ability to identify, analyse and solve problems and to present key issues and possible/recommended solutions in a clear, structured and concise way - minimum 3 years of experience
- Experience in writing high-quality technical documentation (specifications, design document, test descriptions, user manual, etc. - minimum 1 example
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with an HMI framework
- Experience in acting as a business analyst where required for example to seek missing information and clarify requirements in a pro-active way
