Job description

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Data Manager plays a crucial role by ensuring the highest standards of data quality measurement, monitoring, analysis and remediation. In support of the Fundraising, Programs, and Operations teams, the Data Manager oversees the organization’s data strategy, governance, and data management practices. This role analyzes organizational data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions., Data Management & Quality

  • Serve as the organization’s primary administrator for constituent and program data systems.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and consistent data across fundraising, programs, operations, and board engagement activities.
  • Manage gift and revenue entry, acknowledgments, and related database processes.
  • Partner with Finance to reconcile fundraising and financial records on a regular basis.
  • Train and support staff on data standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Monitor data quality and implement processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and user adoption.

Data Governance & Systems Improvement

  • Develop, document, and maintain data governance and AI usage policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Partner with department leaders to establish data definitions, quality standards, and reporting requirements.
  • Evaluate and implement system enhancements, integrations, automations, and new technologies that improve organizational effectiveness.
  • Stay current on Junior Achievement USA reporting requirements and ensure organizational compliance.
  • Monitor emerging trends in data management, analytics, and AI, recommending solutions that strengthen operations and decision-making.

Reporting, Analytics & Organizational Insight

  • Analyze fundraising, program, and operational data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Create and distribute dashboards, reports, and data visualizations for staff, leadership, board members,

funders, and external stakeholders.

  • Support strategic planning and decision-making by providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Manage recurring and ad hoc reporting needs, including compliance and impact reporting

Program Evaluation & Impact Measurement

  • Partner with the Programs team to develop and manage program evaluation tools and processes.
  • Collect, analyze, and report on student, teacher, volunteer, and program outcome data.
  • Measure program effectiveness and organizational impact to support continuous improvement and

funder reporting.

AI & Data Innovation

  • Leverage AI-powered tools to improve data quality, reporting, analysis, and workflow efficiency while

maintaining data privacy and governance standards.

  • Identify opportunities to automate routine data processes and generate deeper organizational insights

through responsible use of AI and analytics technologies.

Requirements

  • Passion for Junior Achievement’s mission and impact.
  • At least two years of relevant experience
  • Experience managing CRM/database systems, reporting platforms, and data governance practices.
  • Experience with program evaluation, impact measurement, and data quality management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable

insights.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical

stakeholders.

  • Continuous learning mindset with interest in emerging technologies, data analytics, and AI.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) and cloud-based data

Benefits & conditions

  • This is a full-time, exempt position with an annual salary range of $58,000-66,000
