Design Systems Designer/Mobile Applications Designer

“All candidates must be directly contracted by ASK Consulting on their payroll and cannot be subcontracted. We are unable to provide sponsorship at this moment”., * We’re looking for a Senior Design Systems Designer to help build the client design system.

• You’ll join the Design Systems team, a small sub team of Design Engineering, and work closely with design engineers, product designers, and engineers to define the foundations and components that teams across client build with every day.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and spec components, including their variants, states, and behavior across iOS and Android.
• Expand and maintain foundational styles and design tokens (color, typography, spacing) with clear semantic naming and consistent scales.
• Develop the Figma library and keep it in sync with code, partnering with design engineers on the component specs that generate production code.
• Write clear usage guidelines and documentation that designers, engineers, and AI agents can all follow.
• Partner closely with Product Design and Design Engineering.
• Review how the system is used in product work and give direct, practical feedback to designers and engineers.
• Communicate design system decisions to leadership, design peers, and engineers.
• Use AI tools to speed up design, prototyping, auditing, and documentation.

• Systems thinker who can balance consistency with the real needs of product teams.
• Strong visual design and interaction design skills, with sharp attention to detail.
• Deep knowledge of Figma, including components, variants, variables, and library management.
• Expert communicator who can explain system decisions simply and get buy-in across teams.
• Self-motivated attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous work environment.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability., * BS/BA degree or equivalent years of work experience.
• A strong portfolio showcasing your work, including design systems work.
• 5+ years of experience designing mobile applications, including 2+ years building, maintaining, or contributing to a design system.
• Experience designing for iOS and Android platform conventions.
• Experience working with engineers on component specs and how they’re implemented in code.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working on a design system for a large consumer mobile app.
• Deep understanding of client products.
• Experience using AI tools for design and prototyping
