Job description

  • Design, build, and manage Kubernetes platforms using Amazon EKS.
  • Implement best practices for cluster security, networking, scalability, and resilience.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and related tooling.
  • Automate platform provisioning, upgrades, scaling, and operational processes.
  • Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines and GitOps deployments.
  • Implement monitoring, observability, and performance optimisation solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve platform and infrastructure issues.
  • Apply security best practices, including RBAC, secrets management, and vulnerability management.
  • Support development teams with containerisation and deployment strategies.
  • Create technical documentation and promote platform engineering best practices.

Requirements

This role is ideal for someone passionate about cloud engineering, automation, and platform reliability, with strong experience designing and operating Kubernetes environments in AWS., * Strong experience with Kubernetes and Amazon EKS.

  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
  • Strong Infrastructure as Code skills using Terraform.
  • Experience with container technologies such as:
  • Docker
  • Podman
  • OpenShift
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, and automation practices.
  • Experience implementing high availability, disaster recovery, and platform upgrade strategies.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes security and cloud security best practices.
  • Experience withobservability tools such as:
  • Prometheus
  • Grafana
  • CloudWatch
  • Dynatrace
  • Scripting or automation experience using Python, Ansible, or similar technologies.

Desirable Skills

  • ArgoCD or Flux (GitOps).
  • AWS CDK.
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
  • Kubernetes security certifications.
  • AWS Associate or Professional certifications.
