Workday Configurator - Payroll

Job Title: Senior Workday Configurator Payroll Location: Tampa, FL or Irving, TX Employment Type: W2 Work Authorization: Visa-independent candidates preferred Workday Certification: Mandatory Payroll Experience: Mandatory Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Workday Configurator with strong Workday Payroll and Security experience to support configuration, enhancements, testing, and ongoing maintenance of Workday modules. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Workday Security, Payroll configuration, business processes, and role-based access controls. Workday Certification is mandatory, and strong Workday Payroll experience is required. Key Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain Workday Security and Payroll modules.
• Design, configure, and manage role-based security groups and domain policies.
• Configure business processes, approvals, workflows, and routing rules.
• Support Workday Payroll configuration, including:
• Earnings
• Deductions
• Taxes
• Payroll compliance requirements
• Conduct security audits, access reviews, and security-related assessments.
• Translate business and functional requirements into scalable Workday configurations.
• Support Workday releases, enhancements, updates, and patch implementations.
• Perform unit testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support.
• Troubleshoot issues, perform defect analysis, and support resolution.
• Collaborate closely with HR, Payroll, Compliance, IT, and other business stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain configuration documentation, process guides, and knowledge artifacts.
• Provide ongoing production support and identify opportunities for process and configuration improvements.

• Strong hands-on experience with Workday configuration.
• Mandatory experience with Workday Payroll.
• Strong expertise in Workday Security and role-based security configuration.
• Experience configuring business processes, approvals, and workflows.
• Experience with Workday testing, including Unit Testing, SIT, and UAT.
• Ability to translate business requirements into effective Workday solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Active Workday Certification is mandatory.
• Payroll configuration experience is mandatory.

• Experience supporting Workday releases and production enhancements.
• Experience working with HR, Payroll, Compliance, and IT teams.
