Job description

Eden Brown are seeking a creative, enthusiastic and knowledgeable Games and Animation Lecturer to join our team at a Further Education College on a full-time, temporary basis. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for digital art, 3D modelling and games development who can support students in developing their creative and technical skills. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, practical teaching and provide meaningful feedback to help students progress in their studies., * Deliver engaging lessons in 3D modelling and digital drawing.

  • Support students in developing their skills in creating digital assets and artwork, including isometric art.
  • Provide guidance, assessment and constructive feedback to support student achievement.
  • Support approximately 10 hours of Extended Diploma (ExDip) teaching, with a focus on the BTEC Art and Design specification and the requirements of the B1 module.
  • Help students develop their portfolios, technical abilities and understanding of industry-relevant creative practices.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and practical experience of 3D modelling software. Experience with 3DS Max would be a significant advantage, although experience with other 3D modelling packages will also be considered.
  • Strong digital drawing skills, with experience using software such as Adobe Photoshop, Krita and/or Adobe Illustrator.
  • The ability to teach and support students in creating digital artwork, particularly isometric art.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide clear, constructive and developmental feedback.
  • A passion for supporting learners and helping them develop their creative potential. Desirable Experience

  • Knowledge of the BTEC Art and Design specification, particularly the B1 module.
  • Experience teaching or assessing BTEC Art and Design or related creative qualifications.
  • An understanding of assessment requirements and the ability to deliver meaningful, subject-specific feedback to Extended Diploma students. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who combines strong practical digital art skills with a supportive, student-focused approach. You will be confident delivering hands-on sessions, adapting to learners needs and helping students build the skills and confidence required to succeed in games, animation and digital art. A DBS is also needed for this role.
