Java Backend Engineer

• Design and develop scalable, low-latency, fault-tolerant backend applications using Java

• microservices, We are recruiting for our banking client, who is seeking a Senior Java Backend Engineer to help build scalable solutions for real-time, low-latency data processing. The role focuses on capturing, processing, transforming, and distributing data across multiple systems while maintaining reliability, scalability, and performance.

• 8+ years of backend application development experience using Java
• Experience building ultra-low-latency systems with processing latency under 100 ms
• Experience with systems processing millions of events or transactions daily
• Experience with real-time data synchronization across multiple platforms
• Strong expertise in low-latency application design and performance optimization
• Experience with Kafka, event streaming, and asynchronous architectures
• Experience implementing Change Data Capture (CDC) solutions using Debezium or similar technologies
• Experience with cloud-native application development
• Strong experience with Java 17+
• Solid experience with Spring Boot and microservices
• Experience with Dynatrace, Splunk, and Grafana
• Expertise in Apache Kafka, Kafka Streams, and Kafka Connect
• Knowledge of real-time streaming and event-driven architectures
• Experience with performance engineering, concurrency, and JVM tuning
• Knowledge of SQL and data engineering fundamentals
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines
