WMS Testing Specialist

Position Overview: The successful candidate will help validate a new SAP EWM solution by learning business processes, identifying system gaps, defects, and process issues before go-live., * Support testing activities for the SAP EWM implementation and rollout at a new distribution facility.

• Learn and understand warehouse operational processes, workflows, and testing requirements.
• Validate inbound, outbound, inventory, and internal warehouse transactions.
• Test both desktop and RF scanner-based workflows.
• Identify defects, process gaps, usability concerns, and unexpected system behaviors.
• Work closely with business users, project teams, and testing leads throughout the implementation lifecycle.
• Actively challenge the system by exploring exception scenarios and edge cases to ensure functionality is robust and ready for production use.
• Provide detailed feedback and documentation on testing results.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), integrated testing, and operational readiness activities.

• Minimum 2 years of experience working in a warehouse, distribution center, logistics, or supply chain environment.
• Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) as an end user.

• Strong understanding of:

• Inbound receiving processes
• Outbound shipping processes
• Internal warehouse movements
• Inventory transactions
• Cycle counting activities

Ability to quickly learn new business processes and system functionality.

Strong problem-solving skills and a naturally curious mindset.

Comfortable following test plans while also exploring scenarios outside of prescribed test cases

Preferred Qualifications

• Approximately 5+ years of warehouse or distribution operations experience.
• Previous participation in a WMS implementation, upgrade, rollout, or testing project.
• Experience with SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management).
• Experience with other WMS platforms such as Blue Yonder, Manhattan, Korber, HighJump, Oracle WMS, or similar systems.
• Inventory control, inventory analyst, inventory lead, or warehouse lead experience.
• Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) or system validation activities.
