Job description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Data Center Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of critical IT infrastructure within data center environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cabling, hardware installation, equipment troubleshooting, and basic networking concepts. This role requires regular travel to customer sites and data centers throughout Texas and surrounding regions., Install, rack, stack, and cable servers, switches, routers, and other network equipment

Perform hardware upgrades, replacements, and preventative maintenance

Troubleshoot connectivity, power, and hardware-related issues

Label and document cabling, equipment layouts, and inventory accurately

Monitor environmental and operational conditions within the data center

Support structured cabling projects including copper and fiber installations

Follow all safety, security, and compliance procedures while onsite

Coordinate with remote engineering and operations teams during deployments

Respond to service calls and emergency maintenance requests as needed

Maintain professional communication with clients and internal teams

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in Telecommunication?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications preferred

1-3 years of experience in a data center, telecommunications, or IT support environment

Familiarity with server hardware, structured cabling, and basic networking

Experience using hand tools, cable testers, and diagnostic equipment

Ability to read and follow technical documentation and diagrams

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required, CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications

Experience working in enterprise or colocation data centers

Knowledge of fiber optic cabling and testing procedures

Familiarity with ticketing systems and asset tracking tools
