Job description

A growing company in Jacksonville, IL is seeking a skilled Computer Programmer / RPG Developer to join their IT team. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining RPG programs, troubleshooting software defects, and collaborating with internal teams to improve software processes and functionality., * Develop, maintain, and enhance RPG programs

  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and system issues
  • Collaborate with IT team members on internal software development projects
  • Identify and implement software development best practices
  • Analyze technical problems and create effective solutions
  • Maintain accurate documentation and coding standards

Requirements

Do you have experience in Technical troubleshooting support?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, This is a great opportunity for someone with strong problem-solving skills who enjoys working in a team-focused environment while contributing to internal software development initiatives., * Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred

  • Relevant work experience may be considered in place of a degree
  • Experience with RPG programming strongly preferred
  • Strong logical reasoning and analytical thinking skills
  • Ability to break down complex problems into manageable steps
  • Effective troubleshooting and debugging abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail
