Job description
The Application Support Analyst serves as a critical bridge between our end users and the development team. You’ll own the investigative lifecycle of application issues - from initial triage through root cause analysis - across our ecommerce website, proprietary ERP system, and content management platform. This is not a traditional help desk role; it requires curiosity, analytical thinking, and the confidence to dig deep into logs, data, source code, and to meet with users to understand the issues and find answers.
What You’ll Do
- Receive, triage, and prioritize incoming application support cases from internal users and the help desk
- Investigate reported issues by reviewing application and server logs, querying databases, and attempting to replicate problems in a controlled environment
- Assess the validity and severity of reported issues and document findings clearly for the development team
- Collaborate directly with end users to gather context, clarify requirements, and explore whether an alternative workflow or solution might resolve the underlying need. The role would require occasional meetings with end users via Teams or in-person at the Rush City headquarters
- Partner with developers to communicate well-documented, reproducible bug reports and business impact
- Identify patterns in recurring issues and recommend process or system improvements
- Assist with QA and regression testing and validation following application updates or deployments
- Maintain clear, organized documentation of known issues, workarounds, and resolutions
Requirements
Do you have experience in Teamwork?, * Experience in application support, systems analysis, troubleshooting, or a related technical/analytical role
- Comfortable reading and interpreting application logs, stack traces, and error messages (Java environment)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; you approach an issue methodically and don’t give up easily
- Excellent communication skills - able to translate technical findings into clear business language and vice versa
- Familiarity with ecommerce platforms, ERP and Financial systems, or CMS platforms is a plus
- Basic understanding of databases
Nice to Have
- Experience with help desk or ticketing systems
- Exposure to databases and applications
- Understanding of SQL - able to write queries to investigate data integrity issues and validate system behavior
- Experience with QA Methodologies
- ERP business domain knowledge
