Senior Java Full Stack Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior Java Full Stack Engineer with strong Back End and Front End development experience, alongside proven experience leading teams, managing stakeholders and working directly with clients

You’ll play a key role in delivering innovative digital solutions for enterprise clients, providing both strong technical leadership and hands-on development expertise. You’ll work closely with clients, architects, engineers and business stakeholders to understand requirements, shape solutions and ensure successful delivery across complex digital transformation programmes.

Your Role

• Design, develop and maintain scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build responsive web applications using React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML and CSS.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, supporting engineers and encouraging best practice.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients and senior stakeholders, communicating technical concepts and project progress clearly.
• Gather requirements and work with stakeholders to translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and cloud-native applications.
• Take ownership across the full software development life cycle, from design through to deployment and support.
• Support the planning, coordination and delivery of technical work across projects.
• Collaborate within Agile teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices and secure digital platforms., * Exposure to modern technologies including Java, Kotlin, Node.js, Spring Boot, React, AWS, Azure, Docker and Kubernetes.

• Strong experience building RESTful microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Frontend development experience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML and CSS.
• Proven experience leading or mentoring development teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills.
• Experience working directly with clients to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Experience designing and integrating REST APIs.
• Proficiency with Git and platforms such as GitHub or GitLab.
• Experience working with AWS or Azure.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Docker Compose.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Experience working in Agile software development teams.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB.
• Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL.
