SAP S/4HANA Project Manager

12-month contract opportunity for an experienced SAP S/4HANA Project Manager to lead a major ERP transformation within a leading energy business. Based in Aberdeen with hybrid working, you’ll manage end-to-end programme delivery, coordinating business teams, technical specialists and implementation partners across a complex upstream oil and gas environment., Our client, a leading organisation within the energy sector, is seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major business-critical ERP implementation.

Taking ownership across the full project lifecycle, you will work closely with internal stakeholders, business SMEs, technical teams and implementation partners to successfully deliver the programme from solution design through testing, migration, go-live and hypercare.

This is a hands-on leadership position requiring strong SAP delivery expertise and an understanding of upstream oil and gas operations. You will provide structure and direction across multiple workstreams, proactively managing risks, dependencies and delivery performance while ensuring stakeholders remain aligned throughout the programme.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of a large-scale SAP S/4HANA implementation programme.
• Coordinate internal teams, business SMEs, technical specialists and external implementation partners across multiple workstreams.
• Manage project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks and resources throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Drive testing, data migration, cutover and go-live readiness activities to support a successful transition.
• Provide leadership and constructive challenge to implementation partners, ensuring delivery against agreed quality and performance expectations.
• Maintain effective project governance while promoting collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.

• Significant SAP ERP project management experience, including large-scale SAP S/4HANA implementations.
• Strong experience delivering technology transformation projects within the upstream oil and gas sector.
• Knowledge of key business areas including Finance, Joint Venture Accounting, Supply Chain, Materials Management and Asset/Maintenance Management.
• Demonstrable experience managing system integrators and complex multi-stakeholder delivery environments.
• Strong project planning, governance, risk management and resource coordination capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the credibility to operate across business and technical teams.
