Network Engineer (Aruba)

Apeirum is recruiting on behalf of maxon for a Network Engineer in Barcelona.This is a permanent position employed directly by maxon; apeirum runs the selection process.Maxon is a global provider of world-class precision drive systems.Its drives are used wherever extreme precision and the highest quality standards matter - on Earth, and on Mars.maxon offers creative minds and passionate doers a global yet trusted environment, where people who question what is possible and challenge themselves can grow.As Network Engineer you will run and improve maxon’s Aruba network: Wi?Fi, LAN and ClearPass.You’ll join a small ICT security team and work closely with the security and firewall colleagues.Hybrid in Barcelona (3 days office, 2 remote), with occasional travel to Switzerland (5-10%).TasksConfigure and maintain the latest Aruba Wi?Fi environment through Aruba Central.Configure and maintain Aruba ClearPass (NAC, authentication, access policies).Run the Wi?Fi and LAN lifecycle project, including rollout of new access points and switches.Monitor and meet ISO *** requirements across LAN/WLAN.Give the security team network insights and support incident analysis.Work with the firewall team and external suppliers.Run the Wi?Fi service to company SLAs and bring in current security features.RequirementsMust have:Hands?on experience with Aruba Central.Deploying and managing Wi?Fi 7 access points.Aruba ClearPass administration.Managing Aruba AOS?CX switches.HPE Aruba Networking certification (ACSP / ACX).Clear communication with IT and business colleagues.Ability to prioritise tasks, especially where security is involved.Experience working in a small team together with external suppliers.Degree in network engineering or related + 2-3 years’ experience.Good English.Based in Barcelona.Nice to have:Firewall management experience.German.BenefitsA permanent employment contract directly with maxon, competitive compensation, and flexible working hours supporting work?life balance.Ownership of a modern Aruba network environment, including the Wi?Fi 7 lifecycle.A small, collaborative security team.A dynamic and friendly workplace in maxon’s Barcelona tech hub, combining startup energy with the stability of a Swiss industrial leader.International collaboration with global teams, especially in Switzerland, and external integration partners.Continuous learning and growth through the maxon academy and professional development programs.#J-***-Ljbffr
