Job description

We are expanding our team responsible for the production of Mission Control Systems for space missions of customers like the European Space Agency and EUMETSAT., In our team you will develop mission control systems for space missions of customers such as the European Space Agency (ESA) and EUMETSAT, contributing to reliable software solutions for satellite operations and space system control.

  • Analyze operational needs from space mission stakeholders and translate them into clear, implementable software requirements.
  • Design, develop, and maintain complex mission control software systems used in operational space environments.
  • Apply solid object-oriented programming principles, ideally using C++ or Java, in a mission-critical software context.
  • Collaborate with international teams and customers to support different space missions and operational approaches.
  • Continuously learn mission operations concepts and contribute to evolving system architectures across multiple projects.

Requirements

Do you have experience in UNIX?, We are looking for experts in Software Engineering with background and interest in mission control systems for space missions.

If this position sounds like a perfect fit for you, here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Strong experience in C++ and/or Java development.
  • Hands-on experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
  • Experience in software bug analysis, debugging, and issue resolution.
  • Familiarity with SCOS-based Mission Control Systems (MCS).
  • Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration in cross-functional, international teams.

We will also value previous experience, and knowledge in:

  • EGS-CC and/or Pulse Mission Control frameworks.
  • Knowledge of Eclipse RCP-based development environments.
  • Familiarity with UML for software design and system modeling.
