Job description
My client, a large consultancy, is in need of a Senior DevOps Engineer for a 6 month contract inside IR35 based in Manchester offering 3 days per week remote but requiring 2 days per week on-site.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Kubernetes engineering; GKE preferred. OpenShift experience is required, Google Cloud Platform experience required; strong Terraform and reusable infrastructure automation, Harness CI/CD and Jenkins; pipeline design, automation, release controls and deployment patterns, Backstage and Internal Developer Platform concepts, including self-service and golden paths, Dynatrace; metrics, telemetry, logs, traces, alerting, SLI/SLO practices and runbook automation, HashiCorp Vault, certificate management, IAM/least privilege, platform controls and secure configuration, Istio Service Mesh, ingress/egress, service connectivity, traffic management and network security concepts and GitHub/Git, automation-first mindset, Scripting, troubleshooting and production support.
