Software Development Engineer

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Software Development Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable cloud services that power global customers. You will own end-to-end features, from requirements and design to implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring. Partner with product, architecture, and operations to deliver secure, reliable services using AWS technologies, modern languages, and DevOps practices. In our customer-obsessed, data-driven culture, you’ll tackle complex distributed systems problems, learn rapidly, and continuously raise the bar on quality and performance.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure cloud services on AWSOwn features end-to-end, from requirements and design through deployment and operations
• Develop high-quality, testable code using modern programming languages and best practices
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs, data models, and integration points with other services
• Implement automated tests, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure quality and velocity
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize services for performance, reliability, and cost
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other engineers to define technical solutions
• Contribute to architectural decisions and long-term technical strategy
• Write clear technical documentation and participate in design reviews
• Continuously learn and apply new AWS and cloud technologies to improve services
