Database Administrators

4Consulting, Inc is seeking a qualified Database Administrators to support technology consulting, application development, systems analysis, testing, data management, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or project delivery services for client projects. The selected candidate will perform duties consistent with the client’s project requirements and company delivery standards., The candidate will be responsible for:

1. Administer and maintain SQL Server and Oracle database instances supporting Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and Master Person Index (MPI) platforms.
2. Manage database backups, restoration, replication, high availability, and disaster recovery procedures to maintain service continuity.
3. Monitor database performance, troubleshoot operational issues, and implement database maintenance and optimization activities.
4. Collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, and identity management teams to maintain database reliability, security, and operational compliance.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

Experience in enterprise database administration, SQL Server and Oracle database management, high availability, and disaster recovery.

Technical Skills

Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, Database Administration, Database Backup and Recovery, High Availability, Disaster Recovery, Database Replication, Performance Tuning, Identity and Access Management, Database Security

Business / Domain Skills

1. Experience supporting Federal Government IT modernization initiatives, including Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) enterprise platforms and Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) environments.
2. Experience supporting federal identity management platforms, including Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and Master Person Index (MPI), within secure, multi-vendor government environments.
3. Experience maintaining mission-critical federal government database environments, ensuring high availability, backup and recovery, replication, disaster recovery, data integrity, and operational continuity.
4. Experience supporting federal security and compliance requirements for identity and access management systems, coordinating with government stakeholders, cybersecurity teams, infrastructure teams, and application vendors to maintain secure and reliable services.

Communication

Ability to communicate with technical and business stakeholders.

Documentation

Ability to prepare project documentation, status updates, and deliverables.

Work Authorization

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship may be considered where permitted by company policy and project requirements., 1. Experience administering databases supporting enterprise identity, authentication, authorization, and access governance platforms.

1. Experience developing and testing database recovery procedures, replication strategies, and high-availability configurations.
