Forward Deployed AI Engineer

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Forward Deployed AI Engineer in Hollywood, FL (Florida)., We are seeking a highly technical and solutions-oriented Software Engineer to help identify, design, and implement technology solutions that improve business processes and operational efficiency. This is not a traditional software engineering, AI engineering, or data science position. The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering capabilities with business acumen and enjoys working directly with operational teams to understand complex challenges and build practical solutions. The Engineer will evaluate opportunities to leverage technologies such as AI, software automation, and robotics to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and support innovation across diverse business environments., * Partner with business and operational teams to identify processes that can be optimized through technology

• Design and implement practical software solutions that improve efficiency and solve real-world business problems
• Evaluate opportunities to apply AI, automation, robotics, and other advanced technologies to business and manufacturing processes
• Translate operational challenges into clear technical solutions and implementation plans
• Develop solutions that balance technical capabilities, business requirements, scalability, and cost
• Work directly with individual business units to understand their processes, challenges, and technology needs
• Build, test, implement, and continuously improve technology solutions
• Adapt solutions to different operating environments rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive initiatives from concept through implementation
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies that could improve business operations
• Travel to operating locations to assess business needs and support implementation

• 1 to 5 years of software engineering or related technical experience
• Experience designing or building technology solutions that address operational or business challenges
• Strong software development and engineering fundamentals
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
• Intellectual curiosity and a strong interest in emerging technologies
• Hands-on builder mentality with the ability to take ideas from concept through implementation
• Ability to quickly understand unfamiliar business processes and operating environments
• Ability to combine technical expertise with business problem-solving skills
• Ability and willingness to travel approximately 50%
• Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information, * Experience with AI-enabled solutions, automation, or robotics
• Experience applying technology to manufacturing, operations, or business process optimization
• Strong computer science or engineering educational background
• Experience evaluating new technologies and determining their practical business applications
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate effectively in a newly created role
• Demonstrated passion for technology through personal projects, open-source contributions, robotics, technical competitions, or similar work

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
