Security Analyst - Columbia, South Carolina - Long Term - W2 role ( Must be current resident of South Carolina)

Support SOC monitoring, threat hunting, and incident response.

• Monitor security alerts, investigate incidents, and analyze potential threats.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and support network security operations.
• Work with SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and centralized log management tools.
• Support cybersecurity risk management, compliance, and security audits.

6+ years of experience in IT System Security or System Administration.

• Experience with cybersecurity incident response procedures.
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio).
• Strong technical documentation, analytical, and communication skills. Preferred: Healthcare IT experience, NIST standards, security compliance assessments, government experience, and certifications such as CompTIA, ISC2, or GIAC.
