Technical Data Lead - Salesforce Data Migration & Azure

We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Data Lead to lead enterprise-scale Salesforce data migration, Azure data engineering, and integration initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on expertise in Salesforce data architecture, Salesforce org-to-org migration, Microsoft Azure data services, database design, ETL/ELT frameworks, and enterprise data transformation.

The successful candidate will own migration strategy and architecture, oversee large-volume data and file migrations, establish data quality and governance standards, and lead cross-functional teams through migration planning, execution, reconciliation, and production cutover., * Lead enterprise-scale Salesforce and Azure data migration programs.

• Drive Salesforce org-to-org migrations, legacy-to-Salesforce migrations, and on-premises database migrations to Azure.
• Define migration architecture, source-to-target mappings, transformation logic, sequencing, cutover plans, rollback strategies, and reconciliation procedures.
• Design Salesforce data models and migration frameworks using Salesforce Data Loader, Bulk API, Metadata API, Data Import Wizard, and third-party tools.
• Architect integrations using Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake, Azure Functions, and Logic Apps.
• Lead migration of Salesforce attachments, content documents, SharePoint files, PDFs, images, and other large objects while preserving metadata and data integrity.
• Develop and optimize SQL, T-SQL, and PL/SQL scripts, logical and physical data models, ER diagrams, and data lineage documentation.
• Design scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and oversee data cleansing, deduplication, enrichment, transformation, and validation.
• Establish data quality KPIs, governance controls, reconciliation measures, security standards, and compliance requirements.
• Lead mock migrations, dress rehearsals, production cutovers, and post-migration validation.
• Drive data synchronization, replication, archival, retention, and performance optimization strategies.
• Lead distributed teams of data engineers, architects, developers, analysts, and external vendors.
• Manage technical risks, resolve migration issues, and communicate progress to stakeholders and executive leadership.

• 15+ years of experience in data management, data migration, and data integration.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in Salesforce data architecture and migration.
• 8+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure data platforms.
• Proven experience leading enterprise-scale migrations involving millions of records and large file repositories.
• Strong experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Data Loader, Bulk API, Metadata API, field mapping, and org-to-org migration.
• Hands-on expertise with Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, Azure Data Factory, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake, Azure Functions, and Logic Apps.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server, Oracle, SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL, data modeling, ERDs, and data lineage.
• Experience with Databricks, Kafka, MuleSoft, and integration middleware.
• Expertise in ETL/ELT frameworks, API integrations, data quality, reconciliation, and master data management.
• Programming and automation experience using Python, PowerShell, or shell scripting.
• Proven technical leadership, stakeholder management, and distributed team coordination skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Salesforce Administrator, Platform App Builder, or Salesforce Data Architect certification.
• Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
• Experience with Informatica, Talend, MuleSoft, or similar integration and ETL platforms.
• Experience with customer master data migration and MDM implementations.
• Experience delivering enterprise digital transformation and cloud migration programs.
• Master’s degree in a related field.
