· We are seeking an experienced Technical Data Lead to lead enterprise-scale data migration, integration, and modernization initiatives across Salesforce, Azure, and related enterprise platforms. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Salesforce data architecture, Azure data services, database design, ETL frameworks, and large-scale migration programs.

· This role will be responsible for defining migration strategies, designing data models, overseeing data quality and governance, and leading the end-to-end execution of data migration and integration efforts involving Salesforce, Azure SQL, Blob Storage, enterprise applications, and upstream/downstream systems.

· The successful candidate will act as the technical leader for complex data transformation programs, collaborating with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and external vendors to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant data movement across platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Data Migration Leadership

· Lead enterprise-scale Salesforce and Azure data migration initiatives.

· Define migration strategies, cutover plans, reconciliation approaches, and rollback mechanisms.

Manage end-to-end migration of:

1. Salesforce data between multiple Salesforce orgs

2. Legacy applications to Salesforce

3. On-premises databases to Azure

4. Structured and unstructured data repositories

Oversee migration of large data volumes, including attachments, content documents, files, and large objects.

Salesforce Data Architecture

· Design Salesforce data models and data migration frameworks.

· Lead Salesforce Org-to-Org migration projects.

· Define object mapping, transformation rules, and migration sequencing.

· Work with Salesforce Data Loader, Bulk API, Data Import Wizard, and third-party migration tools.

· Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance throughout migration activities.

Azure Data Engineering & Integration

Design and implement integration solutions using Azure services.

Work with:

1. Azure SQL Database

2. Azure SQL Managed Instance

3. Azure Data Factory (ADF)

4. Azure Blob Storage

5. Azure Functions

6. Logic Apps

7. Azure Data Lake

Define scalable ETL/ELT architectures.

· Establish data synchronization and data replication strategies.

· Database Design & Data Modeling

Create and maintain:

1. ER Diagrams (ERDs)

2. Logical data models

3. Physical data models

4. Data lineage documentation

· Develop and optimize SQL and PL/SQL scripts.

· Perform performance tuning and database optimization.

Define data archival and retention strategies.

File & Large Object Migration

Lead migration of:

1. Attachments

2. Content libraries

3. SharePoint documents

4. Blob storage repositories

5. Images, PDFs, and other large objects

Define metadata preservation, indexing, and retrieval strategies.

Ensure integrity and completeness of migrated file assets.

ETL & Data Transformation

· Design and oversee ETL pipelines and data transformation frameworks.

· Define source-to-target mappings and transformation logic.

· Lead data cleansing, deduplication, enrichment, and reconciliation activities.

· Automate migration and validation processes using scripts and tools.

Data Governance & Quality

· Define data quality KPIs and reconciliation measures.

· Lead mock migrations, dress rehearsals, and production cutovers.

· Ensure regulatory, security, and compliance requirements are met.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

· Lead cross-functional teams including architects, developers, analysts, vendors, and business stakeholders.

· Provide technical mentoring and guidance to data engineers and migration specialists.

· Present migration plans, risks, and status updates to executive leadership.

· Drive issue resolution and risk mitigation throughout the migration lifecycle.

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.

· Master’s degree preferred.

Experience

· 15+ years of experience in Data Management, Data Migration, and Data Integration.

· 8+ years working with Salesforce data architecture and migration.

· 8+ years working with Microsoft Azure data platforms.

· Should have experience working with Databricks, Kafka , MuleSoft and Integration Middleware tools.

· Proven experience leading enterprise-scale migration programs involving millions of records and large file repositories.

· Demonstrated experience leading distributed teams and vendor partners.
