CoPilot Studio AI developer

Analyze business requirements and translate into Copilot Studio agent architectures.

• Design/build custom topics, entities, dialogs, and adaptive card interactions in Copilot Studio.
• Develop/configure custom plugins/actions (e.g., Power Automate flows, OpenAPI connectors).
• Implement knowledge grounding strategies linking agents to internal repositories, SharePoint, Dataverse, and search services.
• Participate in data extraction and normalization for ground truth establishment.
• Validate and implement integrations with backend systems, authentication, APIs, and third-party services.
• Apply security best practices (authentication, DLP, role-based access, compliance).
• Collaborate with internal teams and Microsoft support to resolve challenges.
• Support UAT, defect resolution, and ensure performance, availability, and accessibility requirements.
• Manage solution deployment across environments using ALM and DevOps best practices.
• Participate in team meetings, communicate status, flag risks, and report progress.
• Provide technical documentation, handover materials, and operational runbooks.
• Deliver fully functional Copilot Studio agents, plugins, connectors, knowledge base configurations, and custom code assets.
• Prepare development estimates, delivery plans, and implementation progress reports.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Role Context:

• Work within the Application Incubator Division (AID) to prototype and develop innovative, high-impact solutions using Microsoft Copilot Studio and related technologies.
• Focus on extending native Copilot capabilities to address complex workflows and specialized business needs not covered by out-of-the-box features.
• Work closely with internal technical teams to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and UX standards.

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field., Expertise in conversational and agentic AI solution architecture and design using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform, and Azure AI.

• Proficiency in building and customizing intelligent agents/copilot solutions (custom topics, entities, dialog flows, escalation logic).
• Experience integrating AI agents with enterprise systems using connectors, plugins, REST APIs, and MCP.
• Knowledge of prompt engineering and grounding strategies for LLM-based solutions.
• Familiarity with DevOps best practices, including ALM for Copilot Studio and Power Platform.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

• Multi-channel conversational agent solution design (Teams, web, portals).
• Familiarity with Azure AI services (Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search).
• Knowledge of AWS bedrock and other LLM platforms (especially for RAG solutions beyond Microsoft).
• Experience with AI-powered IDEs for development efficiency.
• Understanding of Prince2 management principles.

Technical Skills & Tools:

• Azure AI services (Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Azure Bot Service).
