Infrastructure Solution Architect - Edge Platforms

• Design and standardise distributed hosting platforms across a global manufacturing environment
• Establish repeatable Edge Hosting solutions supporting virtual machines, containers, legacy applications and data/AI workloads across multiple factory locations
• Produce HLDs, architecture decisions and technical design documentation
• Work across infrastructure, networking, security and operational teams

• Enterprise infrastructure architecture experience across distributed and hybrid environments
• Experience with virtualisation and hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI)
• Experience with VMware, Nutanix, Azure Local or similar platforms
• Experience with Kubernetes, containers and associated infrastructure
• Knowledge of compute, storage, backup, disaster recovery and high availability
• Experience defining reusable reference architectures and technical standards
• Experience with workload placement across Edge, data centre and cloud environments
• Experience producing HLDs, architecture decisions and technical design documentation
• Experience working across infrastructure, networking, security and operational teams
• Manufacturing IT/OT experience, Dell NativeEdge or GPU-enabled Edge platforms are advantageous
• A CV demonstrating distributed infrastructure and platform architecture experience

Salary: £? - ? per year, We are recruiting for a senior Infrastructure Solution Architect to support a programme establishing distributed hosting platforms in a global manufacturing environment. The contract is six months, paying £525-£575 per day, Inside IR35 via umbrella. The role is UK hybrid, with site engagement as required.
