IAM SSO / Entra ID Engineer USC

• Support daily operations and maintenance of the agency’s Microsoft Entra ID-based SSO environment.
• Monitor authentication services and application integrations.
• Maintain reliable SSO functionality across enterprise applications.
• Identify and resolve operational issues affecting authentication and access.

1. SSO Troubleshooting & Technical Support

• Troubleshoot user authentication failures and access-related issues.
• Investigate problems related to SSO configurations and application integrations.
• Coordinate with application owners and technical teams to resolve issues.
• Support timely resolution of authentication and access incidents.

1. Application Onboarding & Migration

• Support onboarding of additional applications into the Microsoft Entra ID SSO environment.
• Assist with migrating existing applications to Entra ID-based authentication.
• Coordinate integration activities with application owners and stakeholders.
• Validate application functionality following onboarding or migration.

1. Authentication & Access Control Validation

• Test and validate authentication functionality across integrated applications.
• Verify that access controls operate according to agency requirements.
• Identify authentication configuration issues and support remediation.
• Ensure application integrations align with applicable security standards.

1. Integration Monitoring & Support

• Monitor existing SSO integrations to ensure reliable authentication services.
• Investigate integration failures and configuration issues.
• Support ongoing improvements to application authentication processes.
• Coordinate technical changes with application and infrastructure teams.

1. Technical Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain documentation related to SSO configurations, application integrations, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Document application onboarding and migration activities.
• Support compliance with agency security and identity management standards.
• Maintain accurate records of authentication configurations and technical changes.

• Microsoft Entra ID SSO Support: Operational support and maintenance of enterprise SSO services.
• Application Onboarding & Migration: Successfully integrated and migrated applications into the Entra ID SSO environment.
• Authentication & Access Validation Reports: Documentation confirming authentication functionality and access control compliance.
• SSO Troubleshooting & Incident Resolution: Resolution of authentication, access, and integration issues.

Technical Documentation: Updated SSO configurations, integration records, migration documentation, and troubleshooting procedures.

1. Single Sign-On (SSO)

• Strong understanding of Single Sign-On technologies, authentication processes, and identity federation.
• Experience supporting enterprise SSO environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot authentication and access-related issues.
• Knowledge of SSO integration and application onboarding processes.
• Familiarity with authentication protocols such as SAML, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect (OIDC).

1. Microsoft Entra ID Security

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory).
• Experience supporting Entra ID-based authentication and SSO environments.
• Knowledge of identity and access security controls.
• Ability to troubleshoot Microsoft Entra ID authentication and application integration issues.
• Understanding of enterprise identity management and access policies.

1. Application Integration & Migration

• Experience supporting application onboarding into enterprise SSO platforms.
• Understanding of application authentication configurations and integration requirements.
• Ability to assist with migration of applications to Microsoft Entra ID-based SSO.
• Experience validating authentication functionality and access controls.

• Understanding of identity and access management security practices.
• Ability to ensure SSO integrations align with organizational and agency security requirements.
• Knowledge of authentication controls and access validation.
• Experience supporting secure identity management environments.
