Senior Python Developer - McLean, VA (Onsite) - Ex-Capital One

We are seeking an experienced Senior Python Developer with strong hands-on Python development skills and prior experience working with Capital One. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in developing, designing, testing, and maintaining scalable applications, along with experience working in enterprise environments., * Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable applications using Python.

• Write clean, reusable, efficient, and maintainable code following development best practices.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and backend services.
• Work with databases to write and optimize queries and support application data processing.
• Troubleshoot application issues, perform debugging, and implement solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and deployment activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, QA engineers, and business stakeholders.
• Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies and established software development standards.
• Support application performance optimization, production issue resolution, and continuous improvement.

Prior Capital One experience is mandatory - (Are you eligible and comfortable with being rehired at Capital One? • Previous experience working with Capital One is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of Python programming, object-oriented programming, and common design patterns.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and backend applications.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases., * Experience with AWS cloud services.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as PyTest.
• Experience working in financial services or banking environments.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
