IT Financial Analyst (INTL - LATAM)

An employer is looking for two Financial Analysts for a remote, contract opportunity. The client is a large retailer, and the Financial Analyst will be responsible for managing one or more functional areas of Portfolio Operations within a product led organization that include the following but not limited to capital allocation, capital budget governance, operating budget governance, capacity management, vendor performance governance and contracts management.

Under general supervision of a Portfolio Ops Manager and in conjunction with the Principal Portfolio Ops Manager, lead and direct activities related to one or more Portfolio Operations function while also building expertise in other functions.

Key Responsibilities: * Oversee all aspects of assigned portfolio functional area * Responsible for identifying, understanding scope of work, organization of work and developing delivery plan and approach * Participate in audits and other functionally related activities. * Lead and manage conversations with leaders across the organization as needed * Develop a mindset of driving data driven decisions and support other stakeholders in likewise skill development * Influence the culture of continuous improvement of delivery methodologies and effectively lead large scale organization * Set target deadlines and clear predictability and monitor and summarize progress of tasks

• 3-7 years of overall experience with a strong background in Financial Analysis or Accounting * Managing operating budgets, capital budgets, contract management, capacity/resource planning, estimating for business cases, etc.. o Experience managing large portfolios of both CapEx and OpEx budgets ($70-$100 million+) * Advanced Excel experience * Excellent communication skills to work closely with US-based vendors, Engineering Managers, etc. * Able to thrive in ambiguity, jump in where needed (help with SOWs, POs, contracts, etc) and work cross-functionally * Experience with US-based companies * Experience with Copilot/Gemini for automating tasks or pieces of the reporting process * Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting or similar * IT industry experience (public accounting for a software company, etc.) * Experience or exposure in procurement: issuing Purchase Orders, managing invoices, etc.
