Technical Lead - FAST

Insight Global is seeking a Technical Lead (System Analyst 4) for a top insurance and financial services client. This individual will serve as a senior technical leader responsible for driving architecture, solution design, and enterprise integration efforts across a highly complex policy administration environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in FAST Policy Administration, modern application development, enterprise integrations, and cloud-native technologies while guiding technical strategy and influencing modernization initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple technology stacks, lead critical engineering decisions, mentor development teams, and help shape the future state of a large-scale insurance technology ecosystem. Provide senior technical leadership across the FAST Policy Administration platform and broader Life Insurance technology ecosystem Lead end-to-end solution design and delivery across enterprise applications and integrations Drive architecture decisions and determine appropriate solution placement across platforms and technologies Partner with development teams to design scalable, secure, and supportable solutions Perform technical impact assessments and identify dependencies across enterprise systems Support modernization efforts, technical roadmaps, and platform enhancements Troubleshoot complex production issues across APIs, middleware, data platforms, and downstream systems Lead code reviews, architecture reviews, and technical mentorship activities

8+ years of software engineering, enterprise application development, solution architecture, and technical leadership experience Strong hands-on development experience with Java, Angular, Spring Boot, TypeScript, MuleSoft, REST APIs, and ETL/Data Integration Experience with FAST Policy Administration or similar insurance policy administration platforms Deep expertise in enterprise integrations, API-led architecture, messaging, event-driven systems, and system interoperability Experience conducting enterprise-wide impact analysis and dependency assessments across integrated systems Strong background integrating policy administration, customer service, reporting, data, and downstream enterprise platforms Kubernetes, CI/CD, GitHub, DevOps, automated testing, and containerized deployment experience Production support and troubleshooting across complex distributed environments Experience leading technical design discussions, architecture reviews, code reviews, and engineering decisions Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code Life Insurance or Financial Services industry experience SAFe Agile and PI Planning experience FAST implementation, configuration, release, and production support expertise Snowflake, Kafka, XML/JSON, data mapping, and reporting architecture experience Mainframe experience including COBOL and DB2 integrations Experience driving modernization, observability, automation, and technical debt reduction initiatives AI-enabled SDLC and engineering transformation experience
