Systems Engineer (BESS) in Milwaukee

The ideal candidate will have a strong systems engineering background, experience with complex electrical systems, and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative energy storage solutions., * Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. \n

• 2-3+ years of experience in a Systems Engineering environment. \n

• Experience working with complex electrical, industrial, energy, or automation systems. \n

• Strong understanding of systems architecture, requirements management, and system integration principles. \n

• Proficiency with: \n

• Microsoft Office Suite

• Microsoft Project, * Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). \n

• Knowledge of Power Conversion Systems (PCS), SCADA, EMS, or grid-connected energy systems. \n

• Familiarity with utility-scale renewable energy or power projects., * Understanding of systems engineering methodologies, requirements tracking, and validation processes.

• Develop electrical system designs tailored to U.S. market requirements, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, regulations, quality expectations, and cost targets. \n

• Create and maintain system specifications, interface definitions, requirements traceability, and verification matrices. \n

• Develop high-level system designs, block diagrams, architecture models, and compliance documentation. \n

• Establish subsystem requirements and work with cross-functional teams to ensure proper integration and validation. \n

• Conduct technical evaluations and trade-off analyses to optimize performance, cost, reliability, and scalability. \n

• Support solution integration activities, system testing, and verification processes. \n

• Review and approve system-level test procedures and validation results. \n

• Develop qualification strategies and documentation demonstrating compliance with technical, customer, safety, and regulatory requirements. \n

• Collaborate closely with engineering, product development, project management, and operations teams to ensure successful project execution. \n

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by applying engineering best practices, lessons learned, and technical standards. \n
