Senior Test Lead - SAP IS-U / Utility CIS Transformation

We are seeking six experienced Senior Test Leads to support a large-scale Customer Information System (CIS) transformation program within the electric, gas, or water utility industry.

The ideal candidates will bring strong hands-on experience with SAP IS-U, utility Meter-to-Cash (M2C) processes, and testing leadership for large-scale CIS implementations. Candidates must be capable of leading end-to-end testing activities, establishing quality governance, evaluating system integrator deliverables, and ensuring that testing execution meets program objectives and business requirements.

This opportunity is well suited for senior testing professionals who have successfully led complex utility transformation programs and can independently challenge, govern, and improve a System Integrator’s testing approach., * Lead testing activities across a large-scale CIS transformation or implementation program within the electric, gas, or water utility sector.

• Oversee end-to-end testing strategy, planning, execution, defect management, and quality assurance.
• Apply strong SAP IS-U knowledge and utility Meter-to-Cash expertise to validate critical business processes.
• Establish and maintain test plans, test scenarios, test cases, test coverage, entry and exit criteria, and testing status reports.
• Govern and independently evaluate the System Integrator’s testing strategy, execution, deliverables, and overall quality.
• Review test results, identify coverage gaps, challenge inadequate testing practices, and drive corrective actions.
• Coordinate with business stakeholders, functional teams, technical teams, program leadership, and System Integrator resources.
• Manage defect triage, issue prioritization, root-cause analysis, and resolution tracking.
• Monitor testing progress, risks, dependencies, and readiness for key implementation milestones.
• Support integration, system, regression, and business acceptance testing as required by the program.
• Communicate testing status, quality risks, and recommendations to program leadership.
• Travel to Columbus, Ohio, approximately once per month for program-related meetings and activities.

• 10+ years of overall software testing and quality assurance experience.
• 5+ years of experience working as a Test Lead or in a comparable testing leadership role.
• Strong, demonstrable experience with SAP IS-U.
• In-depth understanding of utility Meter-to-Cash processes.
• Proven experience leading testing for a large-scale CIS implementation or transformation at an electric, gas, or water utility.
• Experience overseeing end-to-end testing activities in complex enterprise transformation programs.
• Demonstrated ability to govern, review, and challenge a System Integrator’s testing approach and deliverables.
• Strong knowledge of test planning, execution management, defect lifecycle management, test coverage, and quality reporting.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel to Columbus, Ohio, monthly. s and other visa holders are not eligible for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP change impact analysis tools, such as LiveCompare.
• Experience identifying regression testing requirements resulting from SAP changes.
• Background in utility CIS modernization, replacement, or transformation programs.
• Experience managing testing across multiple workstreams, business functions, and technology teams.
