Technical Lead

The Technical Lead will be responsible for coordinating software development and integration efforts across multiple projects and platforms. This person will work closely with program managers, customers, and engineering teams to understand requirements, determine what technical work needs to be completed, establish the best approach, and coordinate resources to ensure deliverables are completed on schedule. The Technical Lead will oversee engineers assigned to different workstreams and ensure responsibilities, priorities, and timelines are clearly established. As systems move through different stages of development and testing, this person will coordinate new functionality, integration activities, technical changes, and customer requirements to ensure the final product meets expectations. This is not strictly a project management position. The Technical Lead needs a strong software background and will participate in developing technical solutions and perform hands-on software work as needed. The environment utilizes Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, GitLab, DOORS, UML-based requirements, and configuration management processes.

Must Have

• 10+ years of software development experience with technical leadership responsibilities * Strong software engineering/development background * Experience gathering, analyzing, and translating system/software requirements into technical work * Experience coordinating development and integration efforts across multiple projects, platforms, or workstreams * Ability to determine what work needs to be completed, establish the technical approach, assign responsibilities, and drive work through completion * Experience working directly with program managers, technical teams, and customers * Experience with Jira, Bitbucket, GitLab, and DOORS * Experience with configuration management * Ability to read and interpret UML models and diagrams * Experience managing requirements and technical priorities throughout the software development lifecycle Proven technical leadership experience Plusses

• C++ development experience * Hands-on coding experience in an embedded or systems software environment * Experience with Confluence * Defense or DoD experience * Experience with complex integrated systems Experience supporting software through development, integration, and multiple levels of testing

Compensation: $35/hr to $70/hr
