Job description

Our client is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to manage, automate, and optimize high-volume transactional database environments. The ideal candidate will be collaborative, motivated, and coachable. This is a fully remote position. Senior Database Administrator’s Responsibilities and Duties:

Administer, maintain, and tune Oracle and SQL Server databases supporting OLTP systems
Support and manage data workloads in Snowflake
Build and maintain automation for routine database tasks, deployments, and monitoring
Manage database changes through Git-style pipelines and version control
Leverage AI tools to improve efficiency in day-to-day database work
Troubleshoot performance issues and partner with engineering teams on database design

Requirements

At least 5 years of professional experience administering OLTP databases
Strong hands-on experience with Oracle and SQL Server, with a heavier focus on Oracle
Experience working with Snowflake
Experience automating database administration tasks
Familiarity with Git-based pipelines and database version control
Experience using AI tools in technical work; hedge fund or financial services experience is a strong plus
