Job description

As a QA Automation Engineer, you’ll review requirements to decide what functionality needs testing, through both manual and automated testing. You’ll design, write, run and maintain software test plans and test cases. You’ll test applications and document, track and report defects. You’ll also analyze test results, help find the root cause of issues and re-test after fixes. You’ll set and monitor quality control checkpoints, share test results with internal stakeholders and track metrics to meet service level agreements and quality standards. You’ll join a collaborative team that works on high-priority projects. We’re looking for a self-starter who will meet established service level agreements and keep quality high.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a QA/QC software testing role
  • 2 years of experience in test automation, including leading code reviews and debugging and maintaining automated test code
  • Experience with Git and Jenkins for configuration management and software builds and deployments
  • Experience with manual API testing using tools such as Postman or SoapUI
  • Experience testing Java-based applications and AWS
  • Ability to design, build and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites for API/web services and UI testing
  • Experience across the full development lifecycle and with end-to-end testing
  • Ability to collaborate well in a remote work environment
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems or a related field
  • Experience with automation tools such as REST Assured, Supertest or similar
  • Experience writing and running SQL queries for validation and testing
  • Experience working on Agile/Scrum sprint teams with tools such as Jira, Zephyr and Confluence
