Windows Systems Administrator

Responsible for installing, configuring, deploying, monitoring, and maintaining Windows-based client applications and endpoint environments as part of enterprise systems administration. This role ensures consistent, reliable, secure, and supportable end-user access to business-critical applications and infrastructure services.

• Core technical skills: Windows administration, SCCM/MECM, Intune, Group Policy, PowerShell, and application packaging.
• Additional advantage: Citrix/VDI, enterprise software deployment, patching, and change management.

Primary Focus

• Package, deploy, configure, and maintain Windows desktop applications across enterprise endpoint environments.
• Manage Windows client and server compatibility, application version alignment, and deployment dependencies.
• Administer and troubleshoot Windows operating systems, application launch issues, printing, connectivity, performance, and endpoint configuration problems.
• Manage application deployment and software distribution using Microsoft SCCM/MECM, Microsoft Intune, or similar endpoint management tools.
• Support Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), and remote application delivery environments.
• Perform deployment validation, patch management, application upgrades, testing, and rollback activities.
• Monitor endpoint health, investigate recurring incidents, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Follow established change management, release management, documentation, and IT service management processes.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, network, security, application support, and service desk teams to maintain service availability and operational stability.

Note: Epic WSSA certification or Epic HDA certification -or the ability to obtain it-is preferred., * Strong hands-on experience in Windows desktop and server administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.

• Experience with Windows application packaging, software distribution, deployment automation, and endpoint lifecycle management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft SCCM/MECM, Microsoft Intune, Group Policy (GPO), Active Directory, and Windows update management.
• Working knowledge of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, VDI, remote desktop services, or similar virtualization technologies.
• Experience troubleshooting application installation failures, Windows services, printing, authentication, connectivity, and performance issues.
• Understanding of PowerShell scripting for administration, automation, deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL-based incident, problem, change, and release management processes.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale Windows environments with a focus on availability, security, standardization, and operational reliability.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications in Windows Server, endpoint administration, or Azure are preferred.
