VoIP Engineer - Hosted & On-Prem Phone Systems

1. Administer and support hosted VoIP platforms, including SkySwitch and OIT
2. Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot on-premises phone systems
3. Build and modify call flows, auto attendants, hunt groups, call queues, voicemail, and time-of-day routing
4. Provision and deploy IP desk phones, softphones, and mobile apps
5. Troubleshoot call quality issues such as one-way audio, dropped calls, jitter, and latency
6. Configure network settings that affect voice, including QoS, voice VLANs, and firewall and SIP settings
7. Manage number porting, SIP trunks, e911 setup, and carrier coordination
8. Perform on-site visits for system cutovers, new installs, and service calls
9. Document work in the ticketing system and follow escalation procedures when needed
10. Serve as a trusted point of contact, delivering excellent customer service both remotely and on-site

We are expanding our Telephony team and looking for a talented VoIP professional who is passionate about technology, problem-solving, and delivering excellent customer support., 1. 3+ years of business telephony / VoIP support experience

1. Hands-on experience with SkySwitch and/or OIT hosted platforms strongly preferred
2. Hand-on experience with MS Teams Integration a plus
3. Experience supporting on-premises PBX systems
4. Solid understanding of SIP, RTP, and basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, QoS)
5. Experience provisioning and troubleshooting IP phones
6. Excellent troubleshooting skills and a strong customer-service focus
7. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
8. Relevant certifications (vendor phone system certifications, CompTIA Network+, etc.) a plus
