Role Overview: We’re seeking a Backend Engineer, Infrastructure to join our talented team as an early engineer. In this role, you’ll work closely with our founders and cross-functional teams to drive technical excellence, build and operate scalable infrastructure, and contribute directly to shaping the future of investing. This is a hands-on, highly impactful role in a fast-paced, engineering- and product-focused company. Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain robust cloud infrastructure and backend systems that power our trading platform.

Improve deployment pipelines, developer tooling, and observability to help our engineering team ship reliably.

Build resilient distributed systems, strengthen database performance, and improve incident response and recovery as we scale.

Collaborate with backend engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable solutions.

Drive impact in a hands-on capacity, directly contributing to a rapidly growing and innovative company.

Qualifications 2-5 years of professional experience as a backend engineer, ideally in a fast-paced startup environment.

Proficiency in TypeScript for backend development (open to other languages).

Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar cloud infrastructure.

Expertise in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, and production reliability.

Proven track record of building and scaling backend systems to support rapid growth.

Nice-to-Haves:

Previous experience as a software engineer for trading, investing, or fintech platforms.

Previous experience working in hyper-growth start up.

Experience with integrations involving platforms like Robinhood, Stripe, Plaid, or similar platforms/apps.

Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or other cloud infrastructure.

Passion for building user-centered solutions and delivering impact.

A self-starter mentality with strong ownership and problem-solving skills.

Experience with some of these backend tech stacks: node.js, typescript, graphql, nest.js, gcp, google pubsub, postgres sql, etc.
