Senior Workday Project Manager (Durham)

Seeking an experienced Workday Financials professional to lead system configuration, production support, reporting, testing, and process improvement initiatives. This role partners with business and IT stakeholders to resolve complex issues, optimize financial processes, and implement system enhancements., Serve as a subject matter expert for Workday Financials across Financial Accounting, Assets, Customer Accounts, Supplier Accounts, Banking & Treasury, Procurement, Expenses, and Security.

Configure and maintain business processes, approval workflows, condition rules, calculated fields, custom validations, and financial reports.

Troubleshoot complex production issues, perform root cause analysis, and manage escalations independently.

Develop advanced reports and dashboards and perform data analysis to improve business processes and system performance.

Use EIB and data management tools for data loads, mass updates, and corrections.

Lead requirements gathering, solution design, system enhancements, and enterprise projects.

Develop and coordinate testing strategies, test plans, and scenarios; validate results and assess deployment readiness.

Support Workday releases, integrations, security changes, and system updates.

Partner with business teams, IT, Workday, and third-party vendors to implement solutions.

Mentor team members and promote best practices, documentation, and continuous improvement.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 8+ years of business systems, ERP, or financial systems experience; alternatively, 10+ years of relevant experience without a degree.

5+ years of hands-on Workday Financials experience

supporting multiple functional areas.

Experience supporting Financial Accounting, Banking, Procurement, Suppliers, Customers, Expenses, and Business Assets

Advanced Business Process configuration experience

Custom Validation configuration experience

Calculated Field development experience

Strong troubleshooting, production support, and root cause analysis skills

Ability to work independently with minimal direction

Experience leading requirements gathering, testing, and implementation efforts
