Software Engineer

• Design, develop, test, and enhance applications primarily using C++
• Contribute to software architecture and object-oriented design decisions
• Develop features supporting reliable, real-time communications
• Work within Linux, Unix, or FreeBSD environments
• Apply IP networking concepts within software applications
• Troubleshoot application and customer-related technical issues
• Participate in peer code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration processes
• Collaborate with other engineers in an Agile development environment
• Learn specialized technologies associated with VoIP, network communications, and secure communications
• Contribute ideas for improving software, engineering practices, and overall product quality

This role is ideal for an early-to-mid-career developer who genuinely enjoys working in C++ and wants to expand their experience with Linux/Unix, networking, and real-time communications., * Approximately 2+ years of hands-on C++ development experience, ideally with C++ serving as a primary programming language

• Candidates with strong C++ experience through significant independent, open-source, or personal projects may also be considered
• Understanding of modern C++ concepts, object-oriented programming, and software design principles
• Familiarity with commonly used C++ libraries and tools, including STL; experience with Boost is beneficial
• Experience working with Linux, Unix, FreeBSD, or a comparable operating environment
• Familiarity with IP networking or network programming
• Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, a related technical discipline, or comparable practical experience

Salary Range: $70,000-80,000/annually, the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors., * Medical insurance
