Our client, a federal financial management consultancy in Great Falls, VA, is staffing the Navy ERP Command Support Team (CST) for the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED), the headquarters of Navy Medicine. The CST is BUMED’s Tier 1.5 Navy ERP sustainment team. It sits between BUMED’s end users and the Navy ERP Tier 2 business office, owns the tickets that are not user error but are not yet system defects, and keeps BUMED’s transactions posting and paying.
Our client is a boutique consulting firm that employs consultants and professionals with unique skill sets to support the federal government with strategic execution, financial process enablement, IT systems, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software implementation.
What will you do
The role. You work the front of BUMED’s Navy ERP vendor-pay queue: the first-level tickets from users whose invoice is blocked, whose goods receipt will not post, whose purchase order will not pay, or whose WAWF document never arrived in Navy ERP. You fix what is fixable at the transaction level, document what is not, and escalate it cleanly. You work beside a mid-level analyst who owns the harder GR/IR, unmatched-transaction, and interface cases, and you grow into them., * Take first-level user tickets for the procurement, vendor-pay, and travel lanes; reproduce the problem in Navy ERP, resolve transactional errors within your authority, and document every ticket to closure.
- Research invoice and payment status across Navy ERP and WAWF/PIEE: locate the receiving report, the invoice, and the posting; identify the missing or mismatched side; take or request the correcting action.
- Clear routine blocked and parked invoices, service entry sheet errors, and goods-receipt problems that stop payment, and refer the complex cases to the mid-level analyst with your research attached.
- Work the invoice tracking report and interface exception lists under direction: identify WAWF items that failed to post and prepare them for correction.
- Support unmatched-transaction research: pull the obligation, receipt, invoice, and disbursement history and prepare the clearing package.
- Support travel postings from DTS and purchase-card reconciliations as assigned.
- Escalate to the Navy ERP Tier 2 business office in SNAP (ServiceNow) with complete, reproducible tickets, and track them to closure.
- Answer users’ how-to questions, maintain job aids and SOPs, and help deliver training.
- Keep ticket logs and metrics current in Excel or Power BI., * Family Health Care (54% cost covered for the entire family)
- Family Dental (54% cost covered for the entire family)
- Family Vision (54% cost covered for the entire family)
- Flexible Spending Account
- Overutilization bonuses for Time and Materials (T&M) contracts
- Lifetime Event Bonuses (e.g., child, marriage)
- Profit-sharing arrangement for any work brought into the company
- Unlimited Leave with Approval
- 401k 100% employer match on first 4% invested
- $1,000 training budget
