Mid/Senior Momentum Developer

CGI Federal is seeking a Mid/Senior Level Momentum Developer to support federal clients in modernizing and enhancing Momentum based financial, procurement, and budget systems. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in C++, Java, SQL, and modern full stack development with Microservices, Angular, and Spring Boot. This role will contribute to the design, development, integration, and maintenance of Momentum application components, APIs, and custom extensions., * Design, develop, and maintain Momentum application components, including custom extensions, interfaces, and integrations.

• Build and enhance backend services using C++, Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architectures.
• Implement front end enhancements and user interfaces using Angular (or similar modern UI frameworks).
• Write optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and data access components to support Momentum data models.
• Collaborate with functional analysts and QA teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, grooming, demos) and contribute to continuous process improvement.
• Troubleshoot application defects, performance issues, and data inconsistencies across Momentum modules.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including technical designs, interface specifications, and release notes.
• Support integration efforts with external federal systems, service APIs, and enterprise platforms.
• Ensure all development follows CGI Federal coding standards, security protocols, and compliance requirements. Ability to mentor developers who can review and approve estimates

• 5+ years of software development experience (mid/senior level).
• Strong experience with Momentum (Momentum Financials, Acquisitions, Budget, or related modules).
• Hands on experience in:
• C++ (Momentum core customizations, legacy components)
• Java and Spring Boot
• SQL (Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server)
• Microservices architecture and API development
• Angular (v8+) or similar modern JS frameworks
• Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and Agile delivery.
• Ability to work with cross functional teams including analysts, QA, DevOps, and client stakeholders. Experience with Momentum 7.x or 8.x release upgrades, customizations, or API development.

Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:

• Knowledge of WebMethods, Momentum integrations, or federal financial system interfaces.
• Familiarity with cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure) and containerized deployment.
• Prior professional experience supporting federal systems or government clients.
