Cloud Security Engineer

• Harden ECS workloads, apply patches, address IAM issues, and enforce robust network controls
• Investigate and resolve IAM and Cognito misconfigurations to tighten access management
• Upgrade application dependencies, validate updates through comprehensive testing
• Deploy and monitor changes leveraging CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools
• Implement advanced data protection measures, including backup, encryption, and recovery controls
• Coordinate vulnerability validation and closure with internal security stakeholders
• Automate security improvements, enforce standards, and deploy preventive controls for continuous risk reduction

Proven expertise with AWS services: ECS, IAM, VPC, Security Groups, Load Balancers, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Systems Manager, Config, Security Hub, GuardDuty, ECR

• Hands-on experience with Docker, container lifecycle management, and hardening
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation)
• Solid skills in Git and CI/CD pipeline management
• Node.js, TypeScript, npm dependency management
• Scripting with Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Strong background in vulnerability remediation, CVE analysis, and implementing cloud security best practices
• Excellent troubleshooting abilities in complex or legacy cloud environments

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with security platforms such as Wiz, Veracode, SonarQube
• Understanding of CIS and NIST security frameworks
• Experience with Windows Server patching
• AWS certifications
• Exposure to Kubernetes or EKS environments
