Job description

A major international organisation is undergoing a large-scale Snowflake Data Warehouse transformation, and we are hiring three experienced Snowflake DWH Consultants to support the migration and build phase.

This is a hands-on, delivery-focused contract - no BAU, no passive architecture roles. You will be building, migrating, modelling, optimising, and delivering.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Writing and optimising Snowflake SQL
  • Developing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Supporting migration from legacy DWH * Snowflake
  • Designing and modelling bronze, silver, and gold layers
  • Collaborating with Data, BI & Engineering teams
  • Enhancing data performance, scalability, and structure
  • Ensuring data quality, lineage, and validation across layers

Requirements

Do you have experience in Warehouse experience?, * Strong, hands-on Snowflake SQL

  • Experience building Snowflake data models
  • Performance tuning (clustering, partitioning, optimisation)

ELT / ETL Engineering

  • Experience developing pipelines using Python and/or Pentaho
  • Experience with Airflow, dbt, Matillion, ADF, Talend, NiFi, or similar is acceptable

Medallion Architecture (Must Have)

Practice with bronze-layer ingestion

Experience building silver-layer transformations

Experience modelling gold-layer business datasets

Data Warehouse Experience

  • Proven experience in enterprise DWH environments
  • SQL modelling, data quality, validation, reconciliation
  • Experience with large-scale migration or transformation programmes

BI Tool Experience (NEW MUST-HAVE)

Must have worked with at least one BI tool:

  • Tableau
  • Power BI
  • Looker
  • ThoughtSpot
  • Qlik
  • Metabase

Delivery & Collaboration

  • Able to operate in fast-paced, agile environments
  • Strong communicator across BI, Data, and Engineering teams
  • Hands-on, delivery-focused mindset

Nice to Have

  • Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Background in retail, finance, manufacturing, or high-growth environments
  • Experience with dbt or Data Vault 2.0
